Meet Chelsea

Hey there! I'm Chelsea, the founder and owner of The Remnant Homestead. I've been involved with selling EVERYONE ELSE'S products for half of my life. Little did I know this would jumpstart something inside of me to create my OWN products. For over 10 years I've been studying natural medicinal solutions, and I've found just how toxic the store bought products really are. This all started when I was in my early 20's, I started researching mainstream products and how they were harming us, and then when I got married and started having children, I started learning to craft my own items for the care of our family, which all started with homemade laundry detergent and the use of essential oils.

When we moved to our homestead, I felt the Lord nudging me to finally start making my handcrafted physical "artwork". I ended up quitting my job as a sales representative, and felt plunged into "FINALLY" going after what was planted inside of me. God guides me in every step of the way.

Thank you for visiting, and thank you for all of your support. So much care, love, and effort goes into each and every product specially crafted just for you. We were born for such a time as this, and established here for such a time as this too.

Our entire goal and mission is to be fully self sustained, with many areas to be able to effectively minister the gospel to others, rather that be food, shelter, healthy products without toxins, it's all a work in progress. This entire company's foundation stands on the Lord and the Gospel, the foundation is built upon The Rock!! 

Meet Cody 

Cody is the co-owner, co-founder of The Remnant Homestead, and also Chelsea's spouse! They have a handful of children, animals, and have a heart for the natural ways. Cody's side of the business besides being a full-time Twitch/Youtube Streamer includes advertising, farming organic produce, tending to the chickens (and their tasty eggs!), farm animals, property maintaining, seasonings & spices, grows and provides organic fresh dried herbs, flowers, creative ideas, some product tending, and organizing. His biggest passion is for helping others, which he deeply loves cooking for others. His dream for his side of his own side of this business is to operate a food establishment, including a food truck, which will come in time. 

 

Meet Barbara

Barbara Lott is a Brand Ambassador for The Remnant Homestead. Barb is an American MSN APRN NP-C resident who, over a span of her years, has researched the optimal nutrition and holistic remedies for human performance and health. Barbara was The Remnant Homestead's very first online customer, a friend in the faith of many years, and has been a top supporter for the business since the beginning. Her office resides in Parkersburg WV, Freedom Family Health Care, and sells a few of our products in the store including Tooth Powder, Magnesium Oils, and Detox Bath Soaks.

 Meet Serenity Acres Homestead

Serenity Acres Homestead is a brand ambassador for The Remnant Homestead. Serenity Acres has a burning passion for horses and off-grid lifestyle, they want to share the dream with others who appreciate the off grid/ primitive living style.  In 2025 they will be opening their AirBNB/Bed n Breakfast to the Public. The Remnant Homestead supplies this AirBNB/Bed n Breakfast with soaps, lotions, lip balms, and other luxurious products which is also available for sale. The facility also offers the ideal spot for a Wedding and Event Venue as well.  Their Homestead also has an indoor riding arena, boarding, and equine services all in the middle of southern Ohio’s Amish community. They also hold annual craft/vending fairs and other extravagant events.

Meet Stephen Appenfelder 

Steve is a not only a loyal customer, a better product equals better life enthusiast (ditch the chemicals!), but best yet; he is also an advisor for The Remnant Homestead. 

Stephen is the current owner and President of Adkisson Insurance Agency. He spent 8 years as a commercial lines underwriter working with agencies across the country to understand the application of insurance, manage and advise their clients, and competitively price their books of business. This experience lead Stephen to believe that there was a better way for agencies to serve their clients, and in 2019 he started Eschaton Insurance and Risk Management. In the fall of 2020, he acquired Adkisson Insurance Agency and helped bring the agency to the Florence/Union area.

Stephen grew up in Fairfield, OH but became a proud member of Northern Kentucky when he moved to Florence in 2016 where he currently resides with his wife Marjie and their three daughters. Although Stephen’s passion is to make insurance less boring, more affordable and more accessible, he also loves helping to support local businesses and families, being an active member of the Florence Vineyard Church, and spending time with his family.

The Remnant Homestead is located in Vinton County, Ohio upon several acres of prime land. Each item is carefully small batch made, all products are kept sealed away in a stable environment. Each and every item has research and time spent, carefully also thoughtfully selected. There are also several gardens at the homestead, providing produce and herbs to help run the business, and enjoys taking these items and distributing them to others in need. One day we will reach the point that we can distribute much more. Currently outside of distributing what we can of items (produce, eggs, or products), each month at least one individual/family is selected to receive a free box of items, which is selected upon word from the Holy Spirit, rather it be one struggling financially or mentally. With time and growing, this goal will be outstretched to reach more.
