The Song That Confirmed The Remnant

The Song Behind The Remnant
The name The Remnant Homestead was never chosen from a list.
There was only one name on my mind:
Remnant.
For several days, I kept asking God for confirmation that it was the right name.
Then one day, while I was driving, I asked again.
Not long after, a brand-new song came on from a Christian metal band I already listened to and liked.
I was not searching for a sign.
I was not trying to make something fit.
The song simply came on, and as I listened, I got goosebumps.
My immediate thought was:
“That’s my confirmation.”
That moment has stayed with me ever since.
Music has always been deeply important to me, so this song became more than just something I liked. It became connected to the beginning of The Remnant itself.
A marker.
A reminder.
A pillar.
And yes, it is Christian metal.
That may not be everyone’s style, and that is completely fine.
But honestly, the heavier sound feels fitting.
The story of The Remnant includes struggle, fire, rebuilding, refinement, endurance, and faith through difficult seasons.
So maybe it makes sense that one of the songs most connected to its beginning would carry some weight too.
Whenever I hear it, I remember that drive.
I remember the question.
And I remember the moment I stopped asking.
For me, the answer had already come.
This was The Remnant.
The Remnant
By Becoming the Archetype
We have not forgotten
We have not forgotten
We are a part of the resistance
The underground insurgent remnant
We bear this burden through the ages
Beneath the surface, the war still rages on
They were the chosen ones
We have not forgotten
We are the only ones
Who refuse to let go
Separation
Countless dimensions in between
Communication
Severed ties with ancient mystery
No explanation
Only the silence of the unforgiving void
Dissociation
We can't let this memory be destroyed
We have not forgotten
We have not forgotten
This is the work of a hundred generations
To recover what was abandoned
To unlock the secret of the ancients
And traverse dimensional space again
They were the chosen ones
We have not forgotten
We are the only ones
Who refuse to let go
Separation
Countless dimensions in between
Communication
Severed ties with ancient mystery
No explanation
Only the silence of the unforgiving void
Dissociation
We can't let this memory be destroyed
Rebuild.
Restore.
Reclaim the truth and take the leap again.
We have not forgotten
We have not forgotten
Rebuild.
Restore.
Reclaim the truth and take the leap again.
Why This Song Mattered
What struck me most about this song was not just the word remnant itself, but everything surrounding it.
The song is about people who refuse to forget what has been lost. It carries themes of holding onto truth, remembering what previous generations abandoned, and choosing to rebuild, restore, and reclaim what still matters.
To me, that is what a remnant is.
Something that remains when much of everything else has fallen away.
Something that remembers.
Something that refuses to let go of truth simply because the world around it has changed.
And then the song moves beyond remembering. It becomes a call to action—to rebuild what has been broken, restore what has been lost, and carry truth forward.
That was why hearing it in that exact moment felt so significant to me.
I had already been asking God for confirmation about The Remnant, and then this song appeared with the same themes that were already forming in my heart for what I wanted this business to become.
It was not only a name anymore.
It felt like a purpose.
The song uses science-fiction imagery, including references to “ancient mysteries” and “traversing dimensional space.” I do not take those ideas literally or as something I personally believe.
To me, they work more like a parable: imagery for recovering what has been lost, reconnecting with truth, and carrying something important forward after generations of distance or forgetting. Ancient mysteries are the mysteries of the gospel teaching.
That is the part that connected with me—the idea of remembering, rebuilding, restoring, and refusing to let truth disappear.
