Another Remnant Change
Share
If you have been around The Remnant Homestead for a while, you may have noticed that things are starting to look a little different.
The logo has changed.
The imagery is changing.
The website is becoming darker, bolder, more intentional, and honestly much more like us.
And now there are journals, stories, reflections, and places on the website that have nothing to do with simply selling a product.
None of that happened by accident.
The Logo Needed to Feel Like Us
For a long time, I kept trying to make The Remnant Homestead fit into what a “homestead business” was supposed to look like.
Natural. Rustic. Soft. Botanical.
There is nothing wrong with that style.
It just was not fully us.
The Remnant has always had more contrast than that.
There is the homestead, the handmade products, the herbs, oils, tallow, soap and everything created here—but there is also fire, rebuilding, faith, creativity, struggle, purpose, and a story that is still being written.
So the logo became simpler and stronger.
REMNANT is now the focus, with HOMESTEAD underneath it and the flame remaining at the center of the identity.
And Live With Purpose still matters deeply to us, but instead of forcing it into the logo, it stands on its own as something bigger than a tagline.
It is what we are trying to build everything around.
The Website Needed More Life
I also started realizing that the imagery throughout the website did not always represent what The Remnant actually feels like.
I did not want endless generic herbs, beige backgrounds, farmhouse imagery, or something that looked like every other handmade-product website.
So we started bringing in more black, white, turquoise, electric blue, purple, texture, movement, abstract artwork and stronger contrast.
The products themselves are still handcrafted and rooted in intentional ingredients.
But the world around them can be more expressive.
More creative.
More alive.
The goal is for someone to land on the website and immediately understand that there is an actual identity here—not just another collection of products sitting on a white page.
More Than a Store
Probably the biggest change is that I no longer want remstead.com to exist only as a place where you come to buy something.
Of course, this is still our business.
We still create products, develop formulas, package orders and work to grow The Remnant Homestead.
But there has always been more behind it.
There is a story.
There is faith.
There are failures, lessons, experiments, victories, hard seasons, ideas and years of figuring things out as we go.
And I finally decided those things deserved a place too.
That is why the Journals are being built.
Building the Remnant is where I can share more of what goes into the business—the ingredients, decisions, changes, products, lessons and the process of building something from the ground up.
The Refining Fire is much more personal. It is a place for faith, testimony, struggles, prayers, Scripture, things God is teaching us, and the parts of the story that are still unfinished.
Not everything written there will have a perfect ending.
Sometimes it will simply be an honest account of what life looks like from inside the refining.
Why Share Any of It?
Because I do not want this business to feel faceless.
I want you to understand why something was created.
Why an ingredient was chosen.
Why a design changed.
Why faith shows up throughout the brand.
Why we keep rebuilding things when they are not quite right.
And maybe somewhere in all of that, somebody reading will find something they needed too.
A product that helps them.
An idea that teaches them something.
A Scripture they needed that day.
A story that reminds them they are not the only person figuring life out as they go.
The Remnant Homestead is still changing because we are still changing.
We are refining it.
Simplifying some things.
Making others louder.
Removing what never really belonged.
And creating more space for the things that always did.
This is not a complete rebrand into something new.
It is actually the opposite.
It is The Remnant becoming more honest about what it has been all along.
And we are still building.
